Embedded in our idea of cosmetics and of the environment that surrounds us, is the concept of taking care. At the heart of Sendo is the intent to simplify daily life, formulating effective and safe products that bring real benefits to our routine. At Sendo we deeply believe in sharing, we are convinced that there is no progress without a common sense of collaboration and cooperation. For us, taking care of others also includes taking care of the ecosystem in which we are immersed, and the living beings that inhabit it, whether animals or plants.
This translates into Sendo's full adherence to a cruelty-free and sustainable approach, in a broader sense. In practice, this means that we are always looking for new and more advanced ways to reduce our environmental impact, to reduce waste, and in general to grow in an increasingly responsible way.
All these concepts are just different faces of the same coin: there is no sustainability if there is no respect, for the environment, for ourselves, and nature.
Sendo's commitment to cruelty-free cosmetics
Sendo is a cruelty-free brand from day one: we have chosen to join PETA's (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Cruelty-Free and Vegan program to guarantee that all of our formulas do not contain ingredients of animal origin neither are tested on animals.
And that's not all: our products contain a very high percentage of natural ingredients. We are Cosmos Natural certified, because we believe in responsible and sustainable production and a supply chain that is controlled and safe, for everyone.
We also pay great attention to the materials of our packaging and labels.
Over the years, many steps have been taken towards more environmentally conscious cosmetics and responsible production. In 2013, a law was passed in Europe expressly prohibiting the testing of finished cosmetics and/or cosmetic ingredients in vivo on animals. This represents a huge milestone in the journey towards this goal, but it is not the final victory. Days like today, serve us to keep in mind that not everywhere there are laws protecting animals and regulating cosmetic production.
Sustainability is a non-negotiable value for Sendo: it is our way of seeing the world, which comes before creating cosmetics.
What can we all do for a more sustainable world?
We can stay informed and become responsible consumers. We can choose to support companies and brands that work in full transparency, with a controlled supply chain and a conscious production. Today, there are many realities that strive constantly to reduce their impact on the planet, and Sendo is proud to be included among them.
