NICKEL FREE OR NICKEL TESTED? LET'S CLARIFY!

In nature, you can find traces of nickel everywhere: in water, in soil, in many foods and in many consumer products.

You will often have seen cosmetics labelled 'nickel free' or 'zero nickel' in perfumery or personal care shops.

Let's dispel a false myth right away: there is no such thing as completely nickel-free cosmetics.

This is because it is impossible to make cosmetic formulas completely nickel-free. Therefore, the claims 'nickel free' or 'zero nickel' are incorrect and misleading.

WHAT IS NICKEL TESTED COSMETICS?

Cosmetici Nickel tested

Although there is no such thing as a truly 'nickel free' product, it is possible to check whether the concentration of this metal exceeds a safe threshold set by the Higher Institute of Health. To preserve your health, therefore, it is essential that you choose cosmetics that have undergone specific tests indicating the amount of nickel in the product.

The wording 'nickel tested', accompanied by an indication of the maximum threshold below which nickel is present in each product, is the correct one.

ALL SENDO COSMETICS ARE NICKEL TESTED

In the absence of the wording "nickel tested", one cannot be certain that the cosmetic has a nickel content below the threshold value, which is relevant information for those who are allergic, but also for those who might develop a sensitivity to nickel.

All Sendo personal care products are "nickel tested": the formulas have undergone rigorous testing to ensure that the presence of this metal is below the established threshold value.
