NICKEL FREE OR NICKEL TESTED? LET'S CLARIFY!
In nature, you can find traces of nickel everywhere: in water, in soil, in many foods and in many consumer products.
You will often have seen cosmetics labelled 'nickel free' or 'zero nickel' in perfumery or personal care shops.
Let's dispel a false myth right away: there is no such thing as completely nickel-free cosmetics.
This is because it is impossible to make cosmetic formulas completely nickel-free. Therefore, the claims 'nickel free' or 'zero nickel' are incorrect and misleading.
WHAT IS NICKEL TESTED COSMETICS?
Although there is no such thing as a truly "nickel free" product, it is possible to check whether the concentration of this metal exceeds a certain threshold suggested by the National Institute of Health. Choosing cosmetics marked "nickel tested" indicates that the cosmetics have been tested for nickel and, this is important, for a more conscious purchase by the consumer (allergic and not to this metal).
ALL SENDO COSMETICS ARE NICKEL TESTED
The presence of the claim "Nickel tested" provides additional information about the presence of nickel in technically unavoidable traces, which is useful information for allergy sufferers or those who might develop a sensitivity to nickel.
Sendo's personal care products are all "Nickel tested": the formulas have been tested to ensure that the presence of this metal is below the threshold of 1ppm, one part per million product mixture.
